City of Albany: Event Series Illustrations

I have worked closely with the team at the City of Albany Office of Cultural Affairs in developing fun and vibrant event designs for their music series Alive at 5 and their annual Trick or Troy 5k Run.

Alive at 5 2026

For this year’s Alive at 5 poster design, I wanted to incorporate community color, history and inclusivity. The illustrations feature local flora and fauna, Albany’s city colors, blue and orange, a brownstone commonly seen in neighborhoods throughout the city, and local markers such as the Empire Plaza and Nipper the Dog.

Trick or Trot 2025

For the Trick or Trot 5K event design, I wanted to keep the illustration family-friendly, bright and overall fun! The event included a DJ at the finish line, treats, drinks and a light-weight, moisture-wicking shirt for runners who participated.

Alive at 5 2025

For the Alive at 5 poster for 2025, I wanted to explore a new illustration style. With every concert or special event poster I create, my goal is to expand my style repertoire, so that each event can stand on it’s own.

Alive at 5 2023

Creating a concert poster has always been on my design bucket list, amongst creating a cool beer can design and illustrating a children’s book. The latter two haven’t happened yet, but designing a concert poster for the first was a great step in completing my bucket list.

Creating these event designs have been the highlight of my time at Overit. The client relinquished control and trusted me to provide unique and memorable designs for their events and I can’t wait for the opportunity to make more.
