The Arts Center of the Capital Region
Gala Invitation & Mural Map
As a part of my time at Overit, we partnered very closely with The Arts Center of the Capital Region. After their logo refresh and development of a new brand guide, we were able to create a vibrant, playful gala invitation that encouraged invitees to play along and unravel their invite.
The invitation is designed as 8 panels and starts out being folded four ways. As the panels open up, the invitation reveals more information about the event and honorees.
The project had several, folded variations and special die-cut options. The final result, however, allowed for the design to be reused and repurposed year over year because of its simple construction.
As the last of the information is revealed, the design exposes the back of the paper, which features an illustrated map. The map represents mural projects The Arts Center has created in downtown Troy. The goal was to encourage gala invitees to take a tour of the neighborhood to discover art from local and international artists.
